The ‘Welcome to work’ workshop will help students to understand what is expected of them when they arrive for placement and what they should be doing to make sure their first day runs smoothly.

Students will look at the information that the employer will be giving them about the company and its’ rules and regulations and be shown how they will need to fill in their work experience diary and online blog at the end of each day. They will also look at some work related vocabulary that they might hear and not be aware of and what other tasks they and their employer will need to do during the work placement.
