An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team; we’re seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to manage our internal and external IT components. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing a small office network; this will entail a range of tasks from keeping our server running to attending to technical support requests. Additionally they’d be responsible for managing our Linux Virtual Private Web Server (VPS) and setting up web hosting and domain names for clients.

Ideally we’re looking for a recent graduate or intern who wants the opportunity to gain some vital experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems and managing a small network.

Alternatively we'd consider someone who wants to work on a contract basis or from home who can respond to task requests when required.

Essential Skills

• Experience and familiarity with Linux commands and Windows Server 2008.


• Strong knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and computer hardware components.


• Ability to apply knowledge of procedures used in the installation and maintenance of IT hardware and software.


• Some knowledge of version control software such as GIT.

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Administration and management of our Windows Server in our office in Barnsley as well our VPS that runs Linux.


• Setting up, maintaining and updating office hardware and software.


• Attending to technical support queries.


• Configuring DNS settings and hosts for internal and external web projects.
